How do I open the washing machine door if there is a power cut?

Turn the programme selector to Stop (Off) and unplug the mains plug from the socket. Open the base panel and drain out the water, then pull the emergency release downwards while opening the door at the same time. Never open the door using the emergency release while the drum is still turning, and ensure there is no water or hot detergent solution inside before opening. (Page 22)
