How do I determine my water hardness level?

Run water at your kitchen sink for 5 minutes, then dip the included water hardness test strip into the tap water for 1 second and shake off excess water. After one minute, compare the test strip to the chart provided in the manual to determine your dishwasher water softener setting. If you purchase a different test strip, follow the manufacturer's instructions on that product.
