Why is my dishwasher not filling with water?

Check that the water supply valve (typically located under the kitchen sink) is open and that the water supply line has no kinks or clogs. Verify that the household water supply is turned on. If a previous wash cycle was not completed, the dishwasher may need to drain first. Also verify that delay start is not active.
