How often should I perform maintenance on my Briggs & Stratton engine?

Regular maintenance is necessary to improve performance and extend the life of the engine. Check oil level daily or every 8 hours; clean debris daily or before each use; inspect spark plug every 100 hours; change oil after first 5-8 hours then every 50 hours under normal conditions, every 25 hours under heavy load/high temperatures.
