What should I do if I see loops appearing on the surface of my fabric while sewing?

Loops on the surface of the fabric indicate that upper tension is too tight. Reduce the tension by turning the upper tension control dial to a lower number. If the bobbin thread was incorrectly threaded, the upper thread may be too tight, in which case you should rethread the bobbin thread. (Page 1)
