What should I do if the machine is not working properly or has been dropped?

Never operate the machine if it has a damaged cord or plug, is not working properly, has been dropped or damaged, or has had water spilled on it. Return the machine to the nearest authorized Brother dealer or service center for examination, repair, or mechanical adjustment. If you notice anything unusual such as an odor, heat, discoloration, or deformation, stop using the machine immediately and unplug the power cord. (Page 1)
