How do I place originals in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)?

Open the ADF cover and slide the paper guides outward, then fan and tap your paper stack to align the edges. Insert the originals face up with the top edge entering first, then slide the guides snugly against the paper without squeezing too tightly. Make sure originals are not wrinkled, folded, or contain staples, tape, or holes that could cause a jam. (Page 54-56)
