What should I do if the air conditioner smells strange during operation?

Some smell from the indoor unit is normal and results from room smells such as furniture and tobacco that have been taken into the indoor unit. This is not a malfunction. However, if you notice a burning smell, immediately stop operation, turn off the electrical breaker, and consult authorized service personnel. (Page 15)
