How often should I clean the condenser coils, and how is it done?

GE GE Refrigerator (39-6413.PDF) ·

Clean the condenser coils at least once a year for most efficient operation. Turn the temperature control dial to OFF, then sweep away or vacuum up dust from under the refrigerator. For best results, use a brush specially designed for this purpose, available at most appliance parts stores. (Page 15)
