Why is my refrigerator motor running for long periods of time?
GE GE Refrigerator (39-6413.PDF) ·
Modern refrigerators with more storage space and a larger freezer compartment require more operating time, which is normal. Long run times also occur when the refrigerator is first delivered, when large amounts of food are placed inside to be cooled or frozen, during hot weather, or with frequent door openings. Check that the door is fully closed and that the grille and condenser are clean. (Page 31)
