How do I remove spots and film from glassware?

Remove all metal utensils, add no detergent, and select the POTSCRUBBER cycle. After 18–22 minutes (when the dishwasher is in the main wash), open the door and pour 2 cups (500 ml) of white vinegar into the bottom, then close the door and allow the cycle to complete. If vinegar doesn't work, repeat the process using 1/4 cup (60 ml) of citric acid crystals instead. (Page 12)
