How do I load my dishwasher to prevent poor washing results?

Keep the center area of the lower rack clear because the wash tower rises through this area during wash and rinse cycles. Do not block the wash tower or load tall items next to it, and be careful not to let items like pot or dish handles extend through the bottom rack as this could block the wash arm and cause poor washing results.
