How much detergent should I use in the GSD3100?
The amount of detergent depends on your water hardness — hard water requires more detergent, while soft water requires less. All wash cycles except RINSE ONLY require detergent in the main cup, and cycles with two washes will also use the open cup. Using too much detergent with soft water can cause permanent cloudiness on glassware, known as etching. (Page 12)
