What should I do if my glasses have cloudiness or spotting?

For spots and filming, use Jet-Dry® rinse agent to remove spots and prevent new film build-up. For cloudiness (called etching), use less detergent if you have soft water, wash glassware in the shortest effective cycle, and lower your water heater temperature if it exceeds 150°F. Etching is permanent and caused by a combination of soft water and too much detergent.
