How do I operate the oven — what is the correct start procedure?

To operate the oven, ensure the temperature control knob is in the off position, then push the knob in completely and hold for two seconds without turning it. While keeping the knob pushed, turn counterclockwise for bake or clockwise for broil, then release. If the knob is not pressed firmly for a couple of seconds prior to turning, gas ignition will not occur. (Page 20)
