How do I replace the water filter cartridge?

To remove the old filter, slowly turn it to the left without pulling down on the cartridge. To install the new filter, first fill it with tap water, then line up the arrow on the cartridge with the cartridge holder and slowly turn it to the right until it stops (do not overtighten). Run water from the dispenser for 1-1/2 gallons (about three minutes) to clear the system.
