Review your vehicle’s owner manual for specific instructions. Follow these steps: Store top tether strap and remove LATCH strap from storage location. Ensure LATCH strap is routed through the rear-facing belt path marked with a blue label, and extend it to its maximum length. Attach LATCH connectors to vehicle’s lower LATCH anchors without twisting. Tighten the strap by pressing down firmly in the center of the car seat while tightening through the slit at the belt path if needed. Test for tightness by sliding the car seat side-to-side and front-to-back; if it moves less than 1” (2.5 cm), it is secure.
