To install the car seat rear-facing, ensure it is positioned with headrest and harness for children up to 22 lb (10 kg). The headrest pillow must be used if needed. Route the LATCH strap or vehicle seat belt through the rear-facing belt path marked with a blue label. Ensure that the base of the car seat sits at least 80% on the vehicle seat and check the level indicator for proper leveling (bubble within the blue zone). The car seat should not move more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) from side-to-side or front-to-back in the belt path.
