What is the maximum weight allowed when using the LATCH system forward-facing?
The LATCH system should not be used to install the car seat forward-facing for a child weighing more than 40 lb (18 kg). For heavier children in forward-facing mode, use the vehicle seat belt instead. In booster mode, LATCH can be used regardless of child weight up to 100 lb (45 kg).
