How do I know if the car seat is installed tightly enough?
The car seat should not move more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) at the belt path from side to side or front to back. To test this, grab the sides of the seat where the belt or LATCH strap is located and slide the car seat in all directions to verify the installation is secure.
