How do I calculate the required torque for my damper application?
To calculate required torque: (1) Multiply the damper's A dimension by B dimension to get square footage, (2) Multiply the result by the appropriate lb-in. per sq ft value from the tables for your damper type, and (3) Select the next highest actuator torque value. A 20% safety factor is recommended to account for temperature, voltage, and pressure variations. (Page 36)
