What does the 'Recovery' message mean on my Honeywell thermostat display?
The 'Recovery' message indicates that Adaptive Intelligent Recovery is in effect. This feature allows the thermostat to 'learn' how long your furnace and air conditioner take to reach programmed temperatures, so it starts the system early enough to achieve your desired temperature at the scheduled time. For example, if you set Wake to 6 am at 70°F, the heat will start before 6 am so the temperature reaches 70° when you wake up (page 15).
