How do I remove the battery from the HP EliteBook 9470m?

Position the computer upside-down on a flat surface, slide the battery release latch to release the battery, then slide the battery outward, lift the outer edge, and remove it. Before removing the battery, turn off the computer, unplug the power cord, and disconnect all external devices. When reinstalling, insert the connector end into the bay aligned to the left edge, slide it in until the latch snaps, and slide the latch left to lock — in the locked position no red color will be visible in the latch slot.
