What should I do if the dishwasher door closes or falls open by itself before installation is complete?

If the door closes too quickly, you need to decrease the spring tension by moving the tensioner to a higher-numbered hole in the front leg and reattaching the door spring to the rear leg. If the door falls open by itself, move the tensioner to a lower-numbered hole to increase spring tension. Note that tensioners on both sides of the dishwasher should be secured at the same holes.
