Can I use plastic or foil venting material for the dryer exhaust?
No, you must not use plastic or foil flexible venting materials. Use only rigid or semi-rigid metal ductwork with a 4-inch diameter. Flexible venting materials are known to collapse, be easily crushed, and trap lint, which obstructs airflow and increases the risk of fire. (Page 4)
