What are the electrical requirements for installing the electric dryer?

The electric dryer must be connected to a separate 240 VAC, 60-Hertz, single-phase circuit fused at 30 amperes on both sides of the line. A 4-wire connection is required for all new construction after January 1, 1996, as well as for all mobile and manufactured home installations. The power cord pigtail is not supplied with the dryer and must conform to local codes. (Page 12)
