What are the clearance requirements for installing the dryer?

Most installations require a minimum 5.5 inch clearance behind the dryer for exhaust ducting, and at least 1 inch clearances on the sides and back to minimize vibration and noise. Allow at least 21 inches in front to open the door. If installing in a closet, the closet door must allow for sufficient airflow with minimum vent opening requirements of 48 square inches.
