22 totalHow do I clean the lint filter?
To clean the lint filter between cycles, open the dryer door, pull the lint filter straight up, and roll any lint off the filter with your fingers. Do not rinse or wash the filter to remove lint — push it firmly back into place when done. For periodic thorough cleaning, if the filter looks dark or dirty when held up to light, use hot soapy water and a stiff brush to clean it, and make sure the filter is completely dry before reinstalling. Never operate the dryer without the lint filter or with a wet lint filter. (Page 25)
What type of venting material is required for this dryer?
Only rigid metal or semi-rigid metal 4-inch diameter ductwork should be used — do not use plastic or flexible foil venting, as these materials are known to collapse, trap lint, and increase the risk of fire. The total length of flexible metal duct must not exceed 8 feet (2.4 m). All duct joints should be secured with duct tape, not sheet metal screws. (Pages 4, 16)
What is the Sanitize cycle and how does it work?
The Sanitize cycle is designed to kill bacteria in clothing and is certified by NSF International to reduce 99.9% of bacteria on laundry. When selected, the temperature is automatically set to HIGH and the dry level is set to EXTRA DRY — these default settings cannot be changed. Do not use this cycle with delicate items or fabrics. (Pages 24, 20)
What should I do if my dryer runs but does not heat?
First, check if a house fuse is blown or a circuit breaker has tripped and reset or replace as needed without increasing fuse capacity. For gas models, confirm that both the house gas shutoff valve and the dryer gas shutoff valve are fully open — the dryer will still run even if gas is not supplied and no error codes will be displayed. Also verify that other gas appliances in the home are working normally. (Page 27)
What are the electrical requirements for the electric dryer model?
The electric dryer must be connected to a separate 240 VAC, 60-Hertz, single phase circuit, fused at 30 amperes on both sides of the line. A 4-wire connection is required for all mobile and manufactured home installations, as well as all new construction after January 1, 1996. Do not connect the dryer to a 110-, 115-, or 120-volt circuit. (Page 13)
How do I use the Control Lock feature to prevent children from changing settings?
Press and hold the Control Lock button for 5 seconds to enable or disable the Control Lock feature. When activated, all buttons are disabled and 'CL' will be displayed alternately with the estimated time remaining. Even after the dryer shuts off, the power button will allow the machine to be turned on but the controls will remain locked until Control Lock is turned off. (Page 24)
