What should I check if the dryer is taking too long to dry clothes?
Common causes of long drying times include blocked or dirty exhaust ducts, an improperly sorted load, a full lint filter, or an overloaded dryer. You should confirm that the exhaust ductwork is properly configured and free of debris, clean the lint filter before every load, and divide extra-large loads into smaller ones. Also check that the house circuit breaker has not tripped and that dryer controls are set appropriately for the type of load being dried. (Pages 27-28)
