First, remove packing tape and plug the brewer into an outlet. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX fill line and replace it, ensuring the lock tabs engage. Run a cleansing brew on the single cup side by pressing the OZ button, then the 8 button. For the carafe side, press the CUPS button and run a cleansing brew with the 8 button.
