Is it safe to put the K-Cup pod holder and other parts in the dishwasher or submerge the coffee maker in water?

Never immerse the coffee maker in water or other liquids. The water reservoir should be cleaned by wiping the inside with a damp, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth, and the exterior should be cleaned with a damp, soapy, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Always turn off and unplug the coffee maker before cleaning any parts. (Page 3)
