How do I flush the water system after connecting the refrigerator or replacing the water filter?

Using a sturdy container, depress and hold the water dispenser paddle for 5 seconds, then release for 5 seconds, and repeat until water begins to flow. Once water begins to flow, continue depressing and releasing the dispenser paddle (5 seconds on, 5 seconds off) until a total of 3 gallons (12 L) has been dispensed. If you do not flush the water system, you may experience dripping and/or decreased flow from the water dispenser. (Page 23)
