How should I maintain and clean the trimmer?

Before performing any maintenance, always remove the battery from the tool. Remove dirt and debris from the guard using a paint brush, and clean dirt and debris off the motor cover and connection joints. Clean line cutter blades using a wire brush and spray with an appropriate degreaser, and inspect the spool cap and line for adequate line length and damage. (Pages 16–17)
