For vertical (up/down) airflow direction, always use the remote control — press the Chaos Swing button to make the louvers swing up and down, then press it again to stop at the desired position. For horizontal (left/right) airflow direction, ensure the unit is turned off first, then carefully open the vertical louver by hand and manually adjust the horizontal airflow direction. Manually moving the vertical airflow louver by hand could damage the air conditioner. (Page 19)
