Set the icemaker power switch to the I (On) position after the water line is connected. The icemaker will not begin to operate until it reaches its operating temperature of 15°F (-9°C) or below, then it will begin operation automatically. A newly-installed refrigerator may take 12 to 24 hours to begin making ice, and you should throw away the first few batches to allow the water line to clear. (Page 22)
