The water filter should ideally be replaced every six months, or when the filter indicator light turns on, or when the water dispenser or ice maker noticeably reduces output. After replacing the filter cartridge, press and hold the filter button for 3 seconds to reset the filter status indicator. After installing a new filter, flush the water system by running water through the dispenser for 3 minutes. (Page 23)
