Why does the washing machine door not open immediately after the cycle ends or when paused?

The door will not open for 1 to 2 minutes after Pause is selected or at the end of the wash cycle, as the electric locking mechanism needs time to release. Once started, the door cannot be opened during the cycle for safety reasons. Additionally, when in Pause mode, the power will turn off automatically after 4 minutes.
