Why won't my Maytag dryer start?

First, make sure the dryer door is closed completely and the Start/Stop knob is turned to the ON setting. You must press and hold the Start/Stop knob until you hear the drum moving. A blown household fuse or tripped circuit breaker can also prevent the dryer from running.
