Why is my dryer's control knob advancing very slowly?

This is normal operation for an Auto Dry cycle, especially at the beginning of the cycle when the load contains the most moisture. Once the load begins to dry, the control knob will start to advance more regularly and much more quickly. No action is required. (Page 10)
