How do I clean the lint screen properly?

For every-load cleaning, pull the lint screen straight up from the door and roll lint off with your fingers — do not rinse or wash the screen to remove lint, as wet lint is hard to remove. For a deeper as-needed cleaning, wet both sides with hot water, scrub with a nylon brush and liquid detergent, rinse with hot water, and thoroughly dry with a clean towel before replacing.
