How often should I clean the lint screen, and what is the correct method?

The lint screen should be cleaned before every load, as a blocked screen can increase drying time. Pull the screen straight up, roll lint off with your fingers, and push it firmly back into place — do not rinse or wash it to remove lint, because wet lint is hard to remove. For deeper cleaning as needed, scrub both sides with a nylon brush, hot water, and liquid detergent, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before replacing. (Page 18)
