What is the Sanitize option and what temperature does it reach?

The Sanitize option raises the water temperature in the final rinse to approximately 154°F (68°C) to sanitize dishes and glassware in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standard 184 for Residential Dishwashers. If the sanitized light is blinking after the cycle, the load was NOT sanitized — this can occur if the cycle was interrupted or the water heater is set too low. Set your water heater to 120°F (49°C) to ensure proper sanitization. (Pages 6, 10)
