Why is my dishwasher cycle running for a very long time?
Some cycles are designed to run up to 3 hours to use less water and reduce energy consumption, and a water heater set below 120°F (49°C) will cause the dishwasher to delay longer while heating the water. Certain options also add time — for example, the Heated Dry option adds half an hour. Running hot water at a nearby faucet before starting the cycle can help reduce cycle time. (Page 9)
