Why won't my Ninja CE251 start brewing?

First, ensure the unit is powered on and the display is illuminated — if there are no lights, the machine is not getting power, so try a different outlet. Also check that water is in the reservoir and that the carafe is properly placed under the brew basket, as the brewer will not dispense coffee without it. If the brew still does not start, it may be time to run a clean cycle. (Page 12)
