How do I connect and use Pioneer Smart Sync with this receiver?

Press the M.C. dial to display the main menu, select [SYSTEM], then select [APP CONTROL] and choose [WIRED] for USB or [BLUETOOTH] for a Bluetooth connection. Then select [AUTO APP CONN] and set it to [ON], and connect your iPhone or Android device to the unit — Pioneer Smart Sync will launch automatically. Pioneer Smart Sync is compatible with iOS 10.3 or later for iPhone, and Android OS 5.0 or later for Bluetooth connections. (Page 26)
