How do I flush the water line after installing a new water filter?

After installing the water filter, turn on the main water supply and run water through the dispenser until the water runs clear, which takes approximately 6 to 7 minutes. This cleans the water supply system and removes air from the lines, and additional flushing may be required in some households. You should also open the refrigerator door and check that there are no water leaks coming from the water filter after flushing. (Page 23)
