Should I install the refrigerator directly next to a wall?

For optimal usage and to be able to open the refrigerator doors completely, Samsung recommends you do not install the refrigerator next to a wall. If installation next to a wall is necessary, allow at least 2.5 inches of clearance on the hinge side where the handle may make contact. (Page 2)
