Why do I need to wear a safety belt if my 2008 Vue already has airbags?

Airbags are supplemental systems only and work with safety belts, not instead of them. Whether or not an airbag is provided, all occupants still need to buckle up to get the most protection, especially in side and other collisions where frontal airbags do not deploy. You can be severely injured or killed in a crash if you are not wearing your safety belt, even if you have airbags. (Page 22)
