Why isn't my USB device charging when connected to the clock?

The USB port only works when the power adapter is connected — the device will not charge USB devices on battery power alone. Also check that the plug connection is secure, and verify that the charging current of your USB device does not exceed 800 mA, as the clock cannot charge devices with higher power demands. (Page 22)
