How do I replace the batteries in my Sony TV remote control?

Open the battery compartment on the back-bottom of the remote control by sliding the battery door in the direction shown by the arrow. Replace the old batteries with 2 type AAA-1.5V batteries, making sure the + and - ends are aligned correctly, then slide the battery door back until it clicks. Remove the batteries if you are not planning to use the remote control for a long period of time.
